1. Well, first of all, these three new pictures from yesterday.
I am missing a few kids here in the picture taking, today and lately.
A. Because, Justin is feeling a little bit under the weather +
he didn't want my camera in his little face today. Fair enough.
B. I did manage to get some pictures of
Mackensie in her Cheer uniform last night,
because she has first game tonight, and
this is her first year being JV Captain,
and she is pretty nervous about a few things
like when to call a cheer, and the mechanics of football..
This being her first go at this, I figured I wouldn't add fuel to
the fire by making her even more nervous by walking
in their with the big black box attached to my face.
Sometimes it's nice to just be present at a function too,
and not be "on" as a photographer. ;)

........ Mom card! Yes!
Anyway, back to those few pics I am loving from this morning.
Zach.
Mady.
Mady.
Pretend you see the Justin here.
2. My big girl/baby girl, Mackensie, is cheering her first game
as JV Captain tonight.
She is very nervous.
So many firsts on going on right now.
She has never had this responsibility set on her shoulders before.
It is up to her when to call a cheer, and what cheer to call...
It's a very overwhelming and exciting time for us both.
Watching this little love grow and change has been beyond bitter sweet.
I just know she will do awesome out there tonight,
and I hope she knows she makes her mama proud everyday.
Ladies & Gentlemen. Boys & Girls. I present to you, for the first time ever...
Your HHS 2013 JV CAPTAIN!!!!
Can you sense the enthusiasm? ;)
3. THIS
This is our very first Halloween decoration of the year. Mady brought it home to me yesterday,
and I can't wait to hang it up! I love Halloween so much. It is one of my favorites.
I just love the little spider. I think it's so sweet.
And I think she did a pretty good job on the web too!
4. The kids and their reading habits lately
It's a new year. A clean slate. A fresh start.
My Zachary, (5th Grade) He has never been one for reading. :\
But, this year, he seems to be doing okay with it.
He is reading his 30 minutes of required time every morning.
Seems to be working for him.
His brother, Justin, (4th Grade) is the exact opposite.
HE adores to read.
Justin has already completed two novels in two days,
and took tests on both books and aced them both! #proudmama
Madison love love loves to read.
She learned 600 words between the start of Kindergarten
and the end of Summer and now is learning all new frequency words,
they call them in First Grade. She brings home five books per night
and almost reads all five on her own, nightly.
Before school started, we read "First Day Jitters"
and we used 'Jitter Glitter' to shake those
silly jitters away!

"Jitter Glitter" |
This is a red fruit punch hand sanitizer from Bath & Bodyworks. It has blue glitter in it,
so that made it really fun and Mady loves the punchy scent of this.
It's not too strong smelling, either. :)
5. Speaking of Bath & Bodyworks...
All of their fall goodness right now.
In case you're interested in smelling like you just slide off of a
Thanksgiving table... you just use these + a CAS from Starbucks!
